Sunny and sloping south towards the Fraser River, South Vancouver is a moderately busy area where you will find kids biking along treeline streets, people out walking, families playing in the park or out for a flavourful family dinner.

Sunset Rink is open all year and offers a wide variety of public skating and skate lessons. Moberly Arts & Cultural Centre, intersecting Moberly Park and E60th Avenue, is a community cultural hub with a sprung dance floor, meeting room, kitchen facilities and garden.
The Punjabi Market (Little India) is one of the most colourful shopping and dining districts, with streets that are filled with delicious scents from around the world. The district starts at the north-west corner of the community (E49th Ave & Main Street) and continues south for 6 blocks.
A good selection of shops and services are located north of South Vancouver on Fraser Street at 49th Avenue. The South Hill shopping district has a wide array of banks, pharmacies and fresh vegetable markets. The challenge is when you’re hungry – where do you go to settle in for a meal in South Hill?
