Get Outside

Big parks and big views are plentiful in this popular neighbourhood.

Some of the best green spaces and views in Vancouver are at Kensington Park, the premier park in the community.

Kensington Park tops the list of parks in the neighbourhood. Boasting some of the best views in the city (from the top of the hill on 37th and Knight), this picturesque park has large sports fields, a skate park (it kinda looks like an empty 80’s swimming pool), playgrounds and a ball diamond.  It’s also home to the Kensington Community Centre (see below).

Outside of Kensington Park, residents of Knight are, shall we say, “park rich”. Locals have the luxury of being so close to Memorial South Park, designed specifically for sporting events and community gatherings. The sports fields, outdoor rink and running track entertain all sorts of sporting events. The synthetic turf field hosts soccer, field hockey and lacrosse, and it’s well lit for evening games. Clark Park, just north on East 14th Ave, features basketball courts, soccer fields, tennis courts and a baseball diamond.
