Hastings Sunrise

With close proximity to Downtown Vancouver via the Hastings corridor, and the North Shore via the Second Narrows Bridge, Hastings-Sunrise (aka East Village) is an up-and-coming neighbourhood.

Flanking the north east corner of Vancouver, Sunrise-Hastings may be one of the oldest communities in the city, but it's evolving at a rapid pace.
Get Outside
New Brighton Park, located on the eastern border of the community, is arguably one of the best community parks in the city.
Where else can you go for a run, walk, swim in the outdoor poolvor play with your dog while you overlook the Burrard Inlet and have a crystal clear view of The Lions in the distance.
New Brighton Park has it all! This outstanding waterfront park lies at the base of the Second Narrows Bridge and is loaded with an outdoor pool, playgrounds, massive park with benches and a fenced in off-leash dog park for your furry friend. All of this is at your fingertips as you want the tugboats and oil tankers drift in the Burrard Inlet. Pretty sweet!

This famous venue is loaded with amenities including a horse racing track, outdoor fitness centre and the annual PNE fair & Playland.
Whether it’s indoor or outdoor, Hastings Park is the place to be. This incredible facility boasts the Pacific Coliseum, Hastings Racecourse, PNE Amphitheatre and Agrodome. Empire Field is just to the east and has a soccer field, football field, running track and an outdoor fitness facility.
With its popularity, the school choices in Hastings-Sunrise is plentiful. Elementary schools include Franklin Elementary, Dr. A.R. Lord Elementary, Hastings Elementary and Tillicum Annex. The West Coast Christian School and Notre Dame Regional Secondary offer an independent alternative for families in the area.

With all the new development in the community, there's always hip eateries and retail shops popping up each year.
The “East Village” is a stretch along Hastings Street with a mix of newer restaurants and bars and older, family-owned shops. You can find residents strolling the street in search of a cup of coffee, quaint eateries and essentials like small and large chain pharmacies and grocery stores.
