MacKenzie Heights is located on the west side of Vancouver and bordered by Dunbar, Quilchena, Arbutus and Kerrisdale.
Get Outside
If you love the outdoors, then you'll love spending time at Balclava Park.
Centrally located in the community, this large park offers playgrounds and a large running track.
The park has an added bonus of being a lighted field, making it ideal for evening rugby or softball games. There’s also a dog off-leash area for your four legged friends. Blocks away is the stunning and natural beauty of Pacific Spirit Regional Park – a 2,160 acre park located just west of the neighbourhood in UBC’s University Endowment Lands.

You're only minutes away from some of the top private and public schools in the city.
The neighbourhood doesn't have schools or a community centre within its boundaries, but you're literally a hop, skip and jump away from plenty of excellent schools and amenities.
The nearby Dunbar Community Centre is boasts a fitness centre, squash courts, indoor cycling & pre-school programs.
For families, there are many choices for schools nearby. Elementary schools include Carnarvon Elementary and Trafalgar Elementary For older students, Prince of Wales Secondary, Point Grey Secondary and Magee Secondary are close by. The west side is dotted with prestigious private schools including Crofton House, St. Georges, Immaculate Conception, York House, Little Flower Academy and Vancouver College.

Even though there are options nearby, you'll find that the residents tend to shop at home, with shops & services along MacKenzie street & 33rd Ave.
Butter Baked Goods is adored by locals for their gourmet baked goods, and you’ll see residents line up outside Bigsby the Bakehouse is always for it’s famous apple, pumpkin & pecan pie. Other hot spots include Windsor Meats and Quince Fine Florals.
