Neighbourhood Guide

West Side, Vancouver

Predominantly a residential neighbourhood, Dunbar is a favourite for both families, and students at UBC.

With its lush, tree-lined streets, Dunbar picturesque old school feel has a trapped-in-amber quality.

The neighbourhood is primarily residential with the exception of a couple of streets, notably Dunbar Street and West 41st Avenue, which are full of shops, restaurants and services.

High incomes, well-heeled, highly-educated residents and sophisticated tastes translate to Dunbar being one of Vancouver’s most affluent neighbourhoods.
