Also known as the East Village, it is primarily a residential area populated with single family detached dwellings, a smattering of condos on Nanaimo Street and a dense strip of commercial and retail stretching along Hastings Street. With exceptional views of the Burrard Inlet, a beautiful waterfront park and substantial schools, Hastings-Sunrise is quite an up-and-coming neighbourhood.
New Brighton Park has it all! This outstanding waterfront park lies at the base of the Second Narrows Bridge and is loaded with an outdoor pool, playgrounds, massive park with benches and a fenced in off-leash dog park for your furry friend. All of this is at your fingertips as you want the tugboats and oil tankers drift in the Burrard Inlet. Pretty sweet!

With its popularity, the school choices in Hastings-Sunrise is plentiful. Elementary schools include Franklin Elementary, Dr. A.R. Lord Elementary, Hastings Elementary and Tillicum Annex.
