Coal Harbour

Bordering the north east seawall of downtown & overlooking Stanley Park, Coal Harbour is a picturesque and luxurious neighbourhood in the downtown core of Vancouver.

In one of the poshest neighbourhoods in the city attracts big spenders and the designer stores to court them.

This highly coveted neighbourhood includes a very active harbour with a float plane terminal, multiple marinas, the stunning Convention Centre and ever buzzing cruise ship terminal.

Even though Coal Harbour is located downtown, the tranquility and peaceful demeanour is a pleasant surprise. Coal Harbour is a charming mix of business and residential, being home to both the Vancouver Convention Centre as well as condo towers. Around this beautiful community you’ll find locals and visitors mingling on the Seawall, neighbours meeting at local cafes and restaurants, luxury yachts ready to set sail, and the odd harbour seal surfacing and greeting passersby.

Coal Harbour is located on the north eastern region of downtown and bordered by The West End, Downtown, Gastown and the Seawall.  


Crowning the downtown peninsula, the forested trails and attractions of Stanley Park are easily accessed from Coal Harbour.

The 8.8-kilometer Seawall that circles the Stanley Park is always packed with people taking in the stunning views of downtown while they are walking, jogging, rollerblading, or cycling along this scenic, paved pathway.

Coal Harbour’s stretch of greenery is a focal point for people to enjoy the outdoors.  Locals love to take their dog for a walk on the Seawall or relax in the park and watch the floatplanes take off with majestic mountain views in the distance. Harbour Green Park, downtown’s longest park is a local favourite to take in all the scenery.

Known as “luxury row”, Alberni Street is the perfect match for the affluent residents of Coal Harbour.  Running parallel to Alberni Street, and just one block north, is the famous Robson Street, Vancouver’s most popular shopping destination.
