Neighbourhood Guide

Champlain Heights

East Side, Vancouver

This walkable neighbourhood boasts three schools, the 5th largest park in Everett Crowley Park, and it’s anchored by the Champlain Heights Community Centre.

One of the last, but definitely not the least.

Champlain Heights was one of the last areas of Vancouver to be urbanized in the 1970s. Since it's inception, it has grown into a family oriented community with plenty of amenities.

Located in the south east corner of Vancouver, Champlain Heights is known as a family-friendly community with a mix of housing types (market, co-operative, and social) built around green spaces and walking trails, including Everett Crowley Park, the fifth largest park in Vancouver.

On The Map

Champlain Heights is located on the eastern edge of Vancouver and bordered by South Marine, Fraserview and Killarney and Boundary Road.

With over 1/2 the community dedicated to greenspace, you'll have plenty of room to roam.

Headlining all this wonderful open space is Everett Crowley Park, located on the south east corner of the community.

The 5th largest park in Vancouver, Everett Crowley Park is a green sanctuary with a network of trails, winding through a transitional forest and urban wilderness.  This is an excellent place to take your pooch for an off leash walk and escape the city.

Modern in design, the uber cool community centre anchors the neighbourhood.

There's also a great selection of school in, and around Champlain Heights.

Champlain Heights Community Centre has a great range of programs and amenities for residents.  Get in a workout with the new fitness centre, or a game of squash & racquetball. There’s also a child care centre for the little ones.

Families will have their choice of schools including Champlain Heights Elementary,  Champlain Heights Annex and Captain Cook Elementary. Minutes away is Killarney Secondary School on 49th Ave, the largest public secondary school in the city.

Shopping local is a breeze in Champlain Heights.

A full service strip mall is located on Kerr Street, but if you feel like something a bit bigger, Metrotown Mall is only 15 minutes away.

Champlain Square, on Kerr Street, is minutes away and packed with great shops & services including Kin’s Farm Market, Starbucks, Shoppers Drug Mart, Your Independant Grocery Store and a BC Liquor Store.

Just across SW Marine Drive is the new River District with a Save-On-Foods, Everything Wine, Orange Theory, restaurants and banks.

If you’re in need of big box brand names, you’re only a quick 15 minutes from Metrotown, with a massive list of retails on hand like Cineplex, Superstore and many more.
