Wreck Beach

Vancouver, BC

Vancouver’s legendary clothing-optional beach, the gateway to Wreck beach is a set of steep staircases off Trail 6 at the west end of University Boulevard.

Clothes on or clothes off. Canada's only legalized nudist beach is quite the experience.

It’s a bit of a workout getting down to Vancouver’s legendary clothing-optional beach. The 500 stairs of Trail 6 at the end of University Boulevard will guide you down to beautiful Wreck Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in BC, and arguably the most beautiful beach in all of Canada.

Vancouver’s Wreck Beach has long been a favourite hangout for locals and tourists alike. This secluded beach getaway has unobstructed views across the sea and a backdrop of steep cliffs and thick forests. Wreck Beach is undeniably beautiful.

Wreck beach has really grown in popularity over the past couple of years. Beach goers in the buff are the main attraction (or curiosity), but you can anticipate large crowds on hot summer days and a fair bit of drinking and loud music as the sun goes down.

The views are stupendous. People are very friendly.  The vibe is fantastic.  Just make sure you don’t get too carried away with your beach going adventures and leave a little bit of energy in the tank. If you plan on leaving the beach, you’ll have to climb those stairs when it’s all said and done.
