Perfectly named, Sunset Beach is a great place to watch the sunsets in Vancouver while the boats cruise through False Creek.
Less populated than other Vancouver beaches, Sunset Beach is located on the north side of False Creek, just north of the Burrard Bridge.
You’ll find people sunbathing, playing beach volleyball or cruising the seawall. The views of False Creek are fantastic, with beautiful boats and yachts passing by on route to English Bay and the Burrard Inlet. There’s a concession stand that offers delicious treats and refreshments that would be a perfect addition to a picnic set up on the grassy area behind the beach.
The beach is steps away from the Vancouver Aquatic Centre and the False Creek Ferry pier, which provides a quick trip across False Creek to famous Granville Island
Across the street from the beach is Sunset Beach Park, which hosts large annual events such as the Pride Festival, free Vancouver Symphony Orchestra performances and 420 Cannabis.
